A recent trip around the High Country was an excellent way for local farming women to gather and learn from each other.
Run by the East Gippsland Women in Agriculture Network, the Women of the High Country farm visit meant local ladies from Buchan to Bairnsdale and everywhere in between, visited several farmers including Dee Commins and Jill Hill, starting at Benambra and finishing with lunch at Annie Paterson's Nullamunjie Olives, near Swifts Creek.
"Our Women in Ag group is a fantastic opportunity for women across East Gippsland in farming to connect and learn from each other," Dee said.
"It was great having some visitors to our neck of the woods, where Jill, Annie and I could showcase how we are working with the opportunities and challenges in producing a quality product, whether it's beef, lamb, pasture or olive oil."
