Hearts and a hat for local eateries

Hearts and a hat for local eateries

East Gippsland restaurants have proven their worth being recognised in the Age Good Food Guide awards for 2023.
Sardine Eatery and Bar in Paynesville received a prestigious Chefs Hat while Sodafish in Lakes Entrance and The Long Paddock at Lindenow received hearts.
The heart symbol was introduced this year as a critics’ choice “for restaurants that don’t have a hat, but are places reviewers love regardless.”
The Age Good Food Guide is considered the bible for best eateries in Victoria.
Founded in the 1980s, when the food culture was flourishing, the awards are looked upon as Australia’s most respected rating authority for fabulous food.
Ratings are based on the facilities and services of each establishment and judges dine anonymously.
