Busch Organics at Hillside has taken out the prestigious Chairman's Award at the Australian Organic Industry Awards (2022).
A humble Kane Busch, a fourth generation vegetable farmer, told Primary Producer "it's nice to be recognised".
"There's so many people that I work beside, the rest of my family (Kane's brothers Matt and Damien, and father Chris) and all the incredible workers we have, who we value a lot, it really is recognition of all the hard work every individual person does."
The awards are peer nominated, which Mr Busch said makes the honour "all the more satisfying".
Australian Organic chairman, Martin Meek, described Mr Busch as "inspirational" in taking Busch Organics "to the next level".
Busch Organics farms beetroot, broccoli, cabbage, parsnip and carrots and has been certified organic since 2000.
