McConnell places 30th

Bruthen Olympian, Dan McConnell, finished 30th in the men’s cross country mountain bike event at the Tokyo Games on Monday.
In his fourth Olympic Games, McConnell finished eight minutes behind Great Britain winner, Tom Pidcock, who claimed the gold medal 20 seconds ahead of Switzerland’s Mathias Fluckiger. Spain’s David Valero claimed the bronze.
McConnell made his Olympic Games debut in 2008 in Beijing, finishing 39th, before climbing to 21st at the London Games in 2012.
