Homelessness increasing

Have you ever stopped to think about how homeless people cope with the cold as they scramble to find shelter on a wet winter's night?

Next month you will have an opportunity to experience homelessness, if you choose, when the Salvation Army conducts a sleepout at its church facility located at 62 Goold Street in Bairnsdale on the night of August 6 during National Homelessness Week.

Captain Jones says the need for suitable accommodation for homeless people is increasing all the time and East Gippsland isn’t immune.
