Uncle Alan Coe is the chair of Gippsland and East Gippsland Aboriginal Co-Operative (GEGAC).

A proud Wiradjuri, Eora and Yorta Yora man, Uncle Alan says NAIDOC Week is about strengthening culture that enhances the lives of Aboriginal people.

"NAIDOC for me is memories of growing up and how our families watched over and cared for each other, which is part of being Aboriginal,” said Uncle Alan.
