Benambra resident, Sonia Buckley, will contest this month’s East Gippsland Shire Council elections.

Ms Buckley is the daughter of retiring councillor and deputy mayor, 84-year-old Ben Buckley.

No stranger to politics, Ms Buckley has contested local, state and federal elections in the past in East Gippsland.

A grazier in the High Country, and the mother of two children, Ms Buckley believes a unified Council needs to regain the trust of the people.
