Mark Reeves is one of just three councillors seeking re-election to Council.

Mr Reeves, who has previously served two terms on Council, has been an advocate for East Gippsland in seeking support from  both state and federal governments during the drought and bushfire recovery period.

A Marlo resident, Mr Reeves was appointed as the foundation principal of the Alpine School in Dinner Plain in 2000 and has developed a further three schools under his leadership, including the Snowy River Campus at Marlo.

In 2018, Mr Reeves unsuccessfully stood as a candidate for the seat of Gippsland East in the Victorian state elections as a Labor candidate.
