AUSTRALIA DAY - What does it mean?

Australia Day, Invasion Day, Survival Day, a public holiday for a barbecue with mates, whatever you want to call it, January 26 evokes a lot of mixed emotions, views and opinions.
It is meant to be a national public holiday to celebrate Australia and all the great things we have.
For some, it brings feelings of relief and new beginnings with an opportunity to celebrate, while for our First Australians or Traditional Custodians it brings feelings of grief, sadness and mourning.
