Rain records

Widespread flooding hit East Gippsland over the weekend, after a deluge of spring rain, setting new rainfall records for September.
Bairnsdale led the charge in rewriting the history books for September with 94.4 millimetres of rain over three days from 9am Friday to 9am Monday.
Bulumwaal recorded 90.4mm, another record for the Bureau of Meteorology’s data on September rainfall figures.
Glenaladale had 71mm.
The downpour started on Friday afternoon and continued overnight into Sunday causing rivers to rise and floods across the region.
