Dates set for 2019 Business Awards

It is awards time again and Business & Tourism East Gippsland is pleased to announce the key dates for the 2019 Federation Business School East Gippsland Business Awards.

The awards launch will be on Friday, May 31, 2019 at the Kings Cove Golf Club in Metung.

Janet Burton, executive officer of Business and Tourism East Gippsland (BTEG), said how pleased she was that this event would be held at the golf club this year and how appreciative BTEG is of the club’s sponsorship of the launch.

Kings Cove Club is delighted to be associated with the East Gippsland Business Awards and proud to sponsor this year’s launch, Tom Moore, a local director of the club, said.

We look forward to the opportunity to show support for the East Gippsland business community by making available our excellent Club House facilities with views over the golf course.

Business Awards applications will open on Monday, June 3, and remain open until Friday, August 2.

After judging has taken place, finalists will be announced and their success celebrated at a Finalists Breakfast hosted by Albert & Co at Lakes Entrance on Thursday, September 26, 2019.

This is the third consecutive year that Matt O’Donnell of Albert & Co has sponsored the Finalists Breakfast and BTEG greatly appreciates the continued support.

The gala ceremony will again be held at the Bairnsdale Returned Service League, on Thursday, October 17.

BTEG values the opportunity to hold each of the three key Business Awards events in a different part of East Gippsland and is pleased of the opportunity to showcase local produce at each event.

Ian Harrison, Chair of BTEG, said that BTEG is very grateful to all of the sponsors.

Our Naming Rights sponsor, Federation Business School, is now in their third year of sponsorship and we appreciate the key role they play not only in financially supporting the Business Awards but also in terms of opening up additional educational opportunities for East Gippsland, he said.

We also appreciate the generous support of our Platinum, Gold and Silver sponsors, without whom we could not continue to host the Business Awards each year.

A few sponsorship opportunities still remain and interested businesses should contact Janet Burton, executive officer at BTEG.
