Pantomime on its way to Bruthen

Following its outstanding success in its hometown earlier this month, Lakes Entrance Amateur Dramatic Society’s (LEADS) inaugural pantomime is heading for Bruthen with a show booked for Friday, January 18.

Wanting to put on a pantomime for the summer crowds but finding nothing suitable, Alice’ s Adventures in Lakeland was written by three LEADS members. It follows the adventures of Alice, three fish, a mermaid and a magical bilby as they battle villainous characters trying to spoil their summer at the beach in Lakeland.

Bruthen audience members are expected to be very vocal, as the Lakes Entrance audiences proved to be, in helping Alice and her new friends achieve a happy ending - so head along in good voice.

The Bruthen show will be presented at the town’s Mechanics Hall at 3.30pm on Friday, January 18.

Ice creams will be available at interval.

Tickets will be available at the door with proceeds from the day going to the Bruthen Primary School.
