Bruthen buzzing in summer

While it might be a small township, Bruthen has been bustling with activity over the summer holidays.
The recently opened Tambo Valley Honey cafe' has been consistently busy since Christmas and shows no sign of slowing down.
Tourists spending their holidays in East Gippsland have swarmed to the cafe', like bees to a honey pot, to sample food infused with honey.
Most dishes served for breakfast and lunch at the cafe' contain  honey.
Sam Mahlook, formerly of Miriam's in Lakes Entrance, is now head chef at the cafe' having been installed in the kitchen three weeks ago.
