McMillans - Metung's diamond

McMillans of Metung Coastal Resort has long been synonymous with Victorian visitors to the holiday resort as a swanky, upmarket stay.
Since its inception in the early 80s with eleven cottages, a tennis court and a swimming pool, the business has expanded.
Tourism to East Gippsland exploded in the 80s with winemakers and restaurateurs from Melbourne converging on the area.
These days nine two-storey villas have been added to the site to complement the existing cottages.
An owners corporation committee now oversee the resort with two managers, Rick Edney and David Rooks (pictured), installed to run the day to day business.
The men live onsite in a tranquil cottage overlooking the pool area.
