Masks a choice for many

Masks a choice for many

While wearing masks remains an option in Victoria, it appears as COVID and the common flu continues to circulate in the community, many wary residents are choosing to put one on while out and about.
On Monday, Victorian authorities reported more than 10,000 new cases of COVID and a number of deaths.
It would appear complacency has given way to the virus spreading rapidly as people relax and resume activities they were doing prior to the pandemic, such as congregating in crowded venues.
While politicians are reluctant to impose further restrictions on the community, older and wiser residents are taking matters in their own hands and masking up when they’re out and about.
At Woolworths in Bairnsdale yesterday, a number of people, predominantly elderly, were seen entering and leaving the supermarket wearing a closely fitted mask over their faces.
