Time to stand up

This week marks NAIDOC Week - a time to recognise and observe the world’s oldest living culture.
The acronym NAIDOC stands for National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee.
NAIDOC Week is an Australian observance lasting from the first Sunday in July until the following Sunday.
In Bairnsdale, the Gippsland and East Gippsland Aboriginal Co-operative (GEGAC) acknowledged the week with a flag raising ceremony at its Dalmahoy site.
