The main responsibilities of this role are to manage the workshop, train apprentices, and to diagnose, adjust, service, maintain, inspect, repair or overhaul a wide range of vehicles and machinery, including trucks, trailers and farm equipment. Successful applicants must: •be a qualified experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic with knowledge and experience with large diesel engines. • have a current relevant truck license to operate trucks, and/or other relevant farm machinery, or be willing to undergo training to obtain one. •have general knowledge of safe and legal operations of trucks and trailers. • have excellent English communication skills •have excellent interpersonal and time management skills • be physically fit It would be an advantage (but not essential) if the successful applicant was to have knowledge and experience with air conditioner units and auto electronics.
